Our season special !!

Get ready to ride with the gauchos, learn to lasso, brand and work with cattle, spend some nights at unique Estancias and others camping out.

Working with cattle can require skill, is demanding and lots of fun!
this time of the year the gauchos are preparing to move cattle to their summer pastures and we will assist in rounding them up for vaccination and branding, there are many opportunities for fast and exciting riding!

Let us tell you a little about the ride... upon your first day on the trail:

       
     
 

Day 1:
Arrive at Chapelco in Patagonia, at 1.30PM aprox.
On arrival you will be met and driven to the Estancia San Huberto, a fifteen thousand acre property, part of which falls within the spectacularly beautiful Lanín National Park. After refreshments and possibly a siesta explore the estancia during an afternoon and evening ride.

Day 2:
At this time of the year the gauchos are preparing to move cattle to their summer pastures and you will assist in rounding them up for vaccination and branding, during which the Malleo River is crossed several times and there are many opportunities for fast and exciting riding.

Day 3 & 4:
You will leave the estancia early in the morning with camping equipment and ride off into the mountains, crossing Malleo River and riding through the Lanín foothills as you assist the gauchos in moving cattle to their summer pastures. Spend two nights camping close to a stream under the southern stars!

Day 5:
Return to the Estancia in the evening after three full days out in the wilds to a warm bath and comfortable hospitality.

Day 6:
There will be time for a final ride this morning, before transferring to Chapelco airport for the flight to Buenos Aires, departing 2PM arriving to Buenos Aires at 4PM.

This itinerary may be changed according to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.

Where we ride: Junín de los Andes, northern Patagonia, Argentina.
Length: 6 days and 5 nights.
Group size: 2 to 8 people.
Riding ability: We recommend this ride for moderate to experienced riders.
Children: We accept children but must be competent riders. Please consult.
Accommodation: We provide camping equipment.
Clothing: Please check our “What to bring” section.
Meals and drinks: We carry it with us on the pack horse. Lunch is picnic and evening is usually camp fire “asado” (barbecue), mainly beef, lamb some vegetables and fruits, eggs, ham, cheese. Home made breads and jams.
No lunch or dinner is complete without a good glass of wine, but for those who don’t agree Quipiren provides juice, coffee, tea, chocolate and water.
Please advise if you have a special diet restriction.
